Under the government’s transparency requirements, the first local government datasets that need to be available to residents and UK citizens by January 2011 are supplier spend over £500 and councillor allowances. Over the next few years however, almost every local government dataset in the public domain will need to be published. DataTAP publishes data automatically both as user friendly web pages and in machine readable formats, using tables, charts, maps or complex dashboards without the need for any customisation. Using CSV and semantic XML formats, data is available to third party developers using a service oriented API: simply specify what format you require, and the system handles the rest.
DataTAP’s architecture eliminates privacy or security concerns: no data which has not been cleared for publication as Open Data can ever leave your perimeter.

- Local population statistics (from council systems)
- Lists and locations of polling stations, schools, and libraries in the Borough
