Arcus Global is delighted to be awarded a place on G-Cloud 9. The G-Cloud is an initiative targeted at easing procurement by public-sector bodies in departments of the United Kingdom Government of commodity information technology services that use Cloud computing.
Arcus was launched in 2009 to meet the needs of the UK Public Sector. The founders recognised the potential that Cloud computing could offer to the public sector. Arcus has been on the G-Cloud since it was introduced in 2012.
G-Cloud 9 has some new functions. This includes a new sub-category functionality which hopefully will make it easier to find results. In the past a search could return thousands of results, now public sector buyers can filter and drill down to identify firms that are best suited for their needs.
It is hoped that more councils will be attracted to the framework due to the increases in the maximum call-off. In the past, the maximum call off time was two years, now public sector bodies can extend this for two periods of 12 months.
Denis Kaminskiy, Co Founder of Arcus said
“We are delighted to have been awarded on the G Cloud. Since the start of the company we have been committed to working with the public sector to deliver essential services in the most effective and efficient ways.”
