Arcus Global, specialist cloud solutions provider for the public sector, has been selected to join techUK’s Local Public Services Committee (LPSC). Paul Langridge, sales director at Arcus Global, will be joining a selected team of tech industry leaders to drive techUK’s ambitious programme of activity for local public services.

With over 800 members, techUK brings together organisations across business and government to realise the potential of technology to fuel progress, deliver results and enhance lives. This year’s LPSC, made up of 24 techUK members, 8 SME reps and 15 from larger companies will provide a forum for local government stakeholders.

As part of the new LPSC, Paul and the other members will engage with as many local authorities as possible with the aim of driving conversations around maintaining the digital innovation the public sector has seen over the past eighteen months. There will be a particular focus on how technology can solve some of the most pressing issues for people and places.

Commenting on his role as part of the committee, Paul said: “This is a valuable opportunity to drive real change and shape the transformation of local services. The way citizens access public services has changed dramatically since the start of the pandemic and many councils are now at an important crossroads in their digital journey’s. I’m looking forward to working alongside the committee members to drive forward techUK’s impact and help harness the power of technology to improve people’s lives, strengthen our society and create sustainable change.”
