Arcus Global has developed a fully automated application process form for St Albans District Council, allowing small businesses to apply for grant funding during the COVID-19 outbreak.

This is in direct response to the Government’s announcement that there will be financial support for small businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sector. Initially, the online form captures a range of core contact and business information.

It validates that the business rates reference is registered with the Council while a list is loaded into the system for easy navigation. It then captures the scheme being applied for, the bank details, makes a case, and sends an email for indexing into the workflow system under the relevant business rates account. The form is fully integrated with the Council’s back office system, allowing for rapid, automated, virtually touchless processing by the Council, allowing for a rapid deployment of the grants.

In the first week of operation the formit has been used by 780 businesses for financial relief.

“It has been incredible to be a part of the massive national effort to deal with the virus and support St Albans’ local businesses get the much needed cash injection,” said Denis Kaminskiy, CEO and co-founder at Arcus Global. “ We have demonstrated both our resilience and flexibility to meet a crucial need with our customers working completely remotely, at speed’
