We’re delighted to be hosting the next Digital Leader East of England salon on June 21 at the Future Business Centre as part of the National Digital Leaders Week.

Our salon will focus on exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the workplace with a particular focus on the Public Sector.

In March 2017, the government published its Digital Strategy.  The strategy highlighted the focus on technology and innovation and identified AI and robotics as an important and rapidly growing sector.

We are an ambitious company who are always working with cutting edge technology including Artificial Intelligence.  Currently we are collaborating closely with Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC), a council whose ambition is to be a fully digital and self-financing organisation.  It was one of the first to a adopt a cloud IT strategy, saving around £6m in the process.  We developed the use of Amazon Echo technology making AVDC the first council in the UK to use AI (artificial intelligence) and AI powered voice control, to serve residents’ needs.

During our salon, we will look at the potential benefits of using AI in the citizen-centric services.  We’ll be looking at how AI can help to transform internal operations and improve customer interactions and explore the potential of AI based voice software in the workplace.

The salons are informal gatherings with a guarantee of not a single powerpoint in sight.  The discussions will be lead by Nigel Lomas, Business Development Director at Arcus Global, and Kat Sexton, Digital Services Architect at LGSS.  LGSS is a shared service jointly owned by Cambridgeshire County Council, Milton Keynes Council and Northamptonshire County Council.

Please note that the places at the salon are limited, so please register now here to secure your place.

The salon will be followed by networking drinks.
