Assistant Project Manager
Reporting to: Head of PMO
Salary range: £28,000 (DOE) + benefits

About the role
As an assistant project manager within Arcus Global you will be supporting software implementation projects, ensuring we deliver high quality solutions to clients within timescale and budget. You will work with the rest of the project management to produce project timelines, help facilitate meetings and verify that all involved know the current status and what they should be doing.
You will have sound technical knowledge with a mature approach, and a flexible outlook. It would be useful to have project experience as part of a team delivering software, however valid alternative experience would be considered and indeed welcomed. Excellent communication and customer liaison skills are essential.
What you'll be doing
Project Planning - Work with the Arcus project team to develop project documentation, such as project plans and technical drawings, organise schedules of personnel such as developers and associated administration staff, and carry out analysis and reporting on projects.
Communicate - Help facilitate transparent, open and honest communication among teams and stakeholders. Visit customers regularly as part of a project team. Ensure that the progress of the project is communicated and transparent, internally and to the customers.
Insight, Discovery and Training - Assist in looking for new ways to improve our products or customer processes through discovery sessions and user tests. Present this information back in a confident and clear manner. Once a solution has been build you will help plan and potentially lead train the trainer or end user training sessions.
What we need from you
Project Management - No formal project management experience required. However candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong ability to balance the needs of the business, delivery timescales, budgets and client satisfaction in a level-headed and professional style. Demonstrable achievements in any role involving the above requirements will be considered favourably.
Technical Knowledge - Have a good understanding of business admin systems in order to be able to work effectively with the technical team to help manage delivery of Arcus products.
Customer Management - Experience of working with customers and helping them work through challenges to achieve a positive outcome.
Organisation - You will be highly organised and not easily fazed by unexpected changes or issues.
What we'd like from you
Agile Methods - Experience of agile project delivery and how to apply it in ways appropriate to each challenge.
Architecture - Understand the principles of application architecture and have experience with data migration.
Tools - Any of the following would be advantageous to have a working knowledge of: An issue management application such as JIRA, basic HTML development principles or an existing knowledge of Salesforce.
