Arcus Global is growing rapidly and delivers next generation technology to our clients within the public sector. Our aim is to disrupt the stale market, displace old competitors and bring about real change and improvement to the sectors that need it the most.
Our Amazon Web Services (AWS) Division was the first in Europe to win the Government competency and has been helping the public sector to use AWS since 2011. This role is within our Contact Centre Automation (CCA) Team and will focus on working with existing clients to design, build, configure, support, document and deploy live services at the cutting edge of voice automation within contact centres.
What you’ll be doing
Leading & motivating a group of Consultants working in an agile way who will be doing the following:
Interacting with customers on a daily basis to understand their requirements
Creating clear designs to bring the requirements to life
Building & configuring voice and chat-based services using the AWS technologies that power Alexa
Documenting what has been produced
Responding to and resolving support calls where required
This means that you will also need to perform the above activities.
What we need from you...
Building and consuming rest based APIs
Manipulating complex data sets.
Working with unpredictable multi-threaded processes.
We currently use the Amazon stack for development (but are open to new ideas) which is serverless and we need people who are comfortable with this approach and how to get the best out of it.
Great communication skills
A friendly, confident and professional approach that puts clients and colleagues at ease along with the ability to actively listen to people
Experience of creating services using AWS, ideally you will have one or both of the AWS Solution Architect or AWS Developer Associate qualifications. If not, you will be able to demonstrate the competence to gain these quickly
Self-motivated and quick to learn
We need you to rapidly get up to speed with new technologies to complement your existing knowledge. The important thing is to understand what you need to know and learn it quickly.
Good problem solving and teamwork skills
A proven ability to plan, organise, prioritise, manage and track several parallel activities to successful outcomes.
Ability to break down complex problems into manageable solutions.
Knowing when to ask for help, when to escalate and when to delegate so that we work together as an effective team.
Willingness to travel
We have clients all over the UK and travel will be necessary.
It is expected you will need to be on-site at let 4-5 days a week in Newcastle. Rarely it will be necessary to travel to Cambridge where Arcus are based.
During this time you will need to work independently and present the professional face of Arcus to our clients.
